Rockliffe's Babies

"Rockliffe's Babies" was two series of a British television drama produced by the BBC between 1987 and 1988.(Devised by Richard O`Keeffe.)(Produced by Leonard Lewis)Writers included Richard O`Keeffe, Don Webb) Directors included Derek Lister, Keith Washington, Clive Fleury.)

The programme was a police procedural drama, starring Ian Hogg as Sgt. Alan Rockliffe, assigned to train a team of inexperienced PCs - Steve Hood (Brett Fancy), Gerry O'Dowd (Joe McGann), David Adams (Bill Champion), Janice Hargreaves (Alphonsia Emmanuel), Paul Georgiu (Martyn Ellis), Keith Chitty (John Blakey) and Karen Walsh (Susanna Shelling).

Most of the location filming took place around the Kensal Rise area of West London, the police station interiors were at Canalot Studios, Kensal Road.

A spin-off series, "Rockliffe's Folly", followed in 1988.
