French Historical Studies

French Historical Studies

"French Historical Studies" is the quarterly journal of the Society for French Historical Studies (SFHS), one of the two primary historical societies devoted to the study of French history headquartered in the United States. It publishes articles in English and French.

The first issue was published in 1958 with Marvin L. Brown of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill serving as its first editor. As of 2006 it is edited by Jo Burr Margadant of Santa Clara University and Ted W. Margadant of University of California, Davis.
