"Stormbreaker" is the first novel in the "Alex Rider" series by British author Anthony Horowitz. It was released in the United Kingdom on September 4, 2000 and in the United States on May 21, 2001. A film adaptation, starring Alex Pettyfer as Rider, was released on July 21, 2006.

Plot summary

After Alex Rider learns of the death of his uncle and adopted parent, Ian Rider in a car accident, he investigates and finds his uncle's car with bullet holes. Then, Alex is asked to visit MI6. They inform him that Herod Sayle will give a Stormbreaker to every secondary school in the UK. MI6 got suspicious and had sent Ian to investigate but he was assassinated by Yassen. MI6 recruits Alex.Alex visits Sayle's house and finds a diagram made by Ian. After investigation, Alex discovers a large computer manufacturing facility, where the Stormbreaker computers are being filled with biological weapons which will be released into every school in the country. Alex is then caught until Nadia Vole drops Alex into the jellyfish tank. Alex escapes by causing it to burst. Vole is killed by the jellyfish. After that, Alex rushes outside and finds out that only a plane was left.He confronts Mr. Grin in the plane and makes him fly to the hood (very bad).

. Once in London, Alex parachutes out of the plane and got just in time to stop it release.After a debriefing by Alan Blunt and Mrs. Jones, Alex enters a taxi when Salye leads Alex to the top of a building to shoot Alex, but is instead shot by Yassen.bob marly
