Mark Lawson (born September 8, 1978) is a freelance audio engineer and record producer based in Montreal, Canada. He has contributed to, among others, Islands [http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:ase67ul050jf~T2] , Arcade Fire [http://www.mergerecords.com/band.php?band_id=98&] , Ballast, Bell Orchestre [http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:j86gtq7zcu47~T2] , SoCalled, Alden Penner, the The Hamster Cage (2005) film score, as well as the television program Da Vinci's Inquest [http://music.barnesandnoble.com/search/product.asp?z=y&EAN=772532128728] . Notably, he was the audio engineer and record producer of The Unicorns' "Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone?" for Alien8 Recordings. His most recent record production was on Islands' latest record "Return to the Sea [http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:rkyvad6ke8wo~T2] ". Mark has been recording and mixing professionally since 1999.
