Chen Wu was a military general who served under the Kingdom of Wu during the Three Kingdoms era of China.

Chen Wu was famous for having a face that was considered by many to be fierce and ugly.

He first entered service under Sun Ce at the age of 18. Chen Wu was full of valor and always fought in the front lines of battle. He was known for his kindness – Sun Quan was very fond of him and often spent time at his home. Chen Wu was killed by Zhang Liao's force when he was attempting to save his lord Sun Quan in the Battle of Hefei, who later personally held Chen Wu's funeral. Sun Quan also ordered Chen Wu's most favorite concubine to be killed as a tribute to Chen Wu and rewarded Chen Wu's family with tax income of 200 households.

In the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" novel, Chen Wu fell in the Battle of Hefei, circa 215, while dueling with the Wei general, Pang De.
