Scott Drummond

Scott Drummond

Scott Drummond (born 29 May 1974) is a British golfer. Like Sandy Lyle he comes from Shropshire in England and played amateur golf for England but took Scottish nationality from his father when he turned professional, which in his case was in 1996.

In the early years of his career Drummond struggled to win a regular place on the main European Tour, and was obliged to spend a good deal of his time on the second tier Challenge Tour. In 2004 he claimed a surprise win in the British PGA Championship. He was ranked 396th in the world going into the event and jumped to 95th after it and was chosen as that season's Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year on the European Tour. He has been more consistent since then, but hasn't challenged for titles on a regular basis.
