Ottawa 's rural south inOntario ,Canada , named after the IrishCounty Leitrim Bounded by
Leitrim Road to the north, and Rideau Road to the south, generally between Bank Street on the east, andAlbion Road to the west, the [http://ottawa.ca/residents/planning/community_plans/completed/leitrim/index_en.html community design plan] outlines the development for the area in the coming years.Findlay Creek Village is currently the only area under development within Leitrim. OC Transpo bus route the [http://www.octranspo.com/Timetables_DB/Future_TT2/main.asp?route=144&wday=wke&dir=0 #144] , started (and continues) to serve the community. A park and ride is located at Bank and Leitrim roads. Although the North-South LRT corridor was cancelled on December 14th, 2006, there are tentative plans at city hall to extend the O-Train down to Leitrim as an improvement to service the city's south end. This has yet to be approved by council.
