"Toonattik" is the flagship children's strand of the British breakfast television station, GMTV (known as CITV at weekends). It began in February 2005.

The strand airs on Saturdays and Sundays from 7.20am until GMTV's closedown at 9.25am, combining Disney-owned cartoons with studio guests, games and competitions. As of 12 March, 2006, GMTV simulcasts "Toonattik" on its section of the CITV Channel, allowing younger Sky Digital, Virgin Media and Freeview viewers to access the show through the children's section of the EPG for the first time. Plus also for the first time on the EPG it gives details for the programmes broadcast in the "Toonattik" time slot.

Format

Originally, Toonattik was a show with a mix of cartoons for ages 4 - 12 every Saturday & Sunday from 6am - 9.25am. But, the presenters would not appear to present in the studio until 7:15 after the pre-school shows. From the summer that year, the pre-school slot had its own name 'Wakey! Wakey!' which has a presenter in a separate studio and playing the original background music for Toonattik from the time it launched.

From 2006 the show currently follows a similar format every week. Each week, Jamie's 'pie boys' (assisting children presenters) will play a series of randomly selected games against Anna and her 'pie girls'. The loser of the show, either the boys or the girls, will be given a pie in the face as a punishment. Each of the games are chosen randomly by spinning the 'Golden wheel of twizzle' and who is playing these games is determined by the 'Toonattik twizzler'. Viewers also have the chance to send in games- these a pulled from a special chest named the 'challenge chest'.

Action Stations!

This is a children's slot which is featured every weekday from 6am - 9.25am on both ITV4 (GMTV2) and the CITV Channel when "Toonattik" is not on. The show is hosted by two animated robots, one blue (voiced by Jamie) and the other pink (voiced by Anna).

It features cartoons for children 9 - 12 such as "Captain Scarlet", "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX" and "Transformers Cybertron" and many more (a bit similar to "Up on the Roof").

They launched their own website this year and up until the autumn they re-launched it with a theme similar to the Toonattik's website where it's Robots (the good guys) vs. The Aliens (the bad guys).
