Neurotoxic drug

A neurotoxic drug is a substance proven or otherwise thought to cause the disruption or permanent alteration of normal brain activity through observable physical damage.

Neurotoxicants

Drugs may include, but are not limited to:

* Alcohol
* Antidepressants
* Amphetamines
* Barbiturates — Much of neurotoxicity research centers around hypoxia related to barbiturates used during anesthesia
* DXM (Dextromethorphan) Neurotoxicity suspected after being injected directly into the bloodstream, damage has never been documented in humans.
* PCP (Phencyclidine) -Damage has never been documented in humans.
* Ketamine -Damage has never been documented in humans.
* Nitrous oxide -Damage has never been documented in humans.
* Aspartame
* MPTP
* Cocaine
