Palais Ephrussi

Palais Ephrussi

"Palais Ephrussi" is a "Ringstraßenpalais" in Vienna. It was build for the Ephrussi family of bankers by Theophil Freiherr von Hansen, the architect of the Austrian Parliament Building.

Unlike traditional, baroque noble palaces in Vienna, the "Palais Ephrussi" was build in the late 19th century and is therefore considered a "Ringstraßenpalais". It is up to five storeys high and build in the for its time typical neo-renaissance style.

One wing of the building was heavily damaged during World War II and replaced with a modern building which housed the OPEC for a while.

At present time (2006) it is the Headquarters of Casinos Austria.
