Vladimir Stepania

Vladimir Stepania (born May 8 1976 in the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic, Soviet Union (present-day Georgia)) is a Georgian professional basketball player.

Stepania is 7 feet tall and weighs about 235 pounds. He was the first NBA player from the Republic of Georgia. Stepania has played with the Seattle SuperSonics, New Jersey Nets, Miami Heat, and the Portland Trail Blazers. Stepania plays center. His best season was in the 2002-2003 season with the Miami Heat in which he averaged 5.6 points and seven rebounds per game. He has scored 1,118 points in his entire career. His career high in points was 19 and took place on November 16 2001 against the Charlotte Hornets. On November 19 2002 against the Milwaukee Bucks he recorded a career high 15 rebounds.
