Formula Continental

Formula Continental

Formula Continental is a single seater, open wheel racing class in motorsport. It replaced Formula C as an SCCA racing class. Formula Continental includes three types of cars.

The first are the traditional 1100cc Formula C cars (which have large wings, are allowed aerodynamic tunnels, and full race motors).

The second type is the Formula Ford 2000 (FF2000), which is a flat bottomed, steel tube frame open wheel car with smaller wings and a 2L engine derived from the steel blocked Ford Pinto motor.( This version of the car is also used with an updated motor derived from the twin cam 2L ford focus motor)

The third type is the air-cooled variant of the Formula Super Vee, which used a 1600cc VW Bug motor.
