"Life Got Cold" was the third single released by UK pop group Girls Aloud from their debut album "Sound of the Underground". It was their third consecutive top three hit in the UK, and the third top two hit in Ireland.

Release and reception

"Life Got Cold" was not the original choice for the group's third single. Polydor Records originally chose "Some Kind of Miracle" but that plan was dropped after a huge fan response to this release. "Life Got Cold" was released in the United Kingdom on August 18 2003. The single featured a cover of the Duran Duran song "Girls On Film" as the b-side, as well as remixes. The cassette features "Lights, Music, Camera Action" as a b-side.

Many reviewers criticised the track, alluding that the riff of the chorus ripped off the 1995 Oasis hit "Wonderwall". A BBC review called the song a "charming ballad", but also stated "part of the chorus sounds like it is going to turn into Wonderwall by Oasis."
