Solidarity (newspaper)

Solidarity (newspaper)

"Solidarity" is a fortnightly socialist newspaper published by the Alliance for Workers' Liberty (AWL).

The paper was founded in the mid-1990s, when it was known as "Action for Health and Welfare". It was published by the Welfare State Network, which was supported by the AWL and the International Socialist Group. In order to fully support the new publication, the AWL ceased publishing its own paper, "Socialist Organiser".

The newspaper gradually became identified with the AWL, and its name changed, first to "Action for Solidarity", and then simply "Solidarity".

Its current editor is Cathy Nugent.
