Sarıgöl

Sarıgöl is a town and a district of Manisa Province of Turkey..Despite the fact that the city Sarıgöl which located between Denizli and Manisa seems to be a small town ,according to some authorities Sarıgöl was an important city throughout the history. In the place of Sarıgöl there was a city which is called by Callatebus (Kallatebos). Also that city is mentioned by Heredotos in his 7th book's 31th district and you can find the name of Kallatebos in Bible too. The fact that this city is located in a strategical place has gained much more importance in the anchient history.
