This article comprises a list of
fictional crossovers that have occurred between different fictional characters/properties over different mediums.
Most of these crossovers can be assumed to be in continuity for one or both of the characters or universes involved, although the events of the crossover may not be mentioned afterward by either party. See
fictional universefor more closely linked crossovers. Many spinoffs cross over with their parent series or originated as a one-time crossover.

May 2, 2007in the "CSI: New York" episode "Cold Reveal", Danny Pino appeared as his " Cold Case" character Scotty Valens as he traveled to New York when it was discovered that CSI Stella Bonasera ( Melina Kanakaredes) was connected to an unsolved case. The "CSI" shows, "Cold Case", and "Without a Trace" all air on CBSand produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
* "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "

Chandler Bingappeared in " Caroline in the City"
* Kramer from "
Seinfeld" appeared on " Mad About You". Oddly enough, a later episode of " Seinfeld" would focus on George having to watch "Mad About You" with his fiancee Susan.
Norm Peterson( George Wendt) and Cliff Clavin( John Ratzenberger) from " Cheers" appeared on an episode of "Wings".
* Drs. Frasier and Lilith Crane from "Cheers" also appeared on another episode of "Wings".
* Many of the characters from "Cheers" have appeared on the spinoff "
Frasier". On a 2002episode, Frasier goes back to Boston and sees Carla, Norm, and Cliff. Sam Malone, Woody Boyd, and Diane Chambers have visited Frasier on individual occasions.
* In an episode of "
St. Elsewhere", some of the doctors have a drink at "Cheers". While there, Carla serves them, and they also talk with Norm and Cliff.
Friends": Phoebe's twin sister, Ursula (both played by Lisa Kudrow), originated as a character on "Mad About You". Lisa has appeared as both characters on "Friends". Helen Huntfrom "Mad About You" has also appeared on "Friends".
Lea Thompson(Caroline) of "Caroline in the City" appeared on an episode of "Friends".
* One episode of "Mad About You" featured Carl Reiner as his character Alan Brady from the 1960s' "Dick Van Dyke Show".
Steve Urkelvisits " Full House" and helps Mark in "Step By Step". This actually does create a conflict when John Stamosappears as himself on "Step by Step", mentioning his role on "Full House". Also in "Step by Step", Cody mentions "Full House" a few times.
Michelle Tannerfrom "Full House" appeared on an early episode of " Hangin' with Mr. Cooper" when Cooper substituted for Michelle's class, taking place on the "Full House" set, with Michelle's friends, and Jesse appeared dropping off Michelle at Cooper's house.

Freddie" in episodes on both shows as part of a continuing one-night story.
* Characters from "
The District" and "The Agency" appeared on each other's show when an episode of "The District" continued on an episode of "The Agency".
* Sammo Hung of "Martial Law" and Chuck Norris of "
Walker, Texas Ranger" appeared on each others' shows as a two-part crossover episode. Sammo also appeared as his character on an episode of " Early Edition".
That's So Raven", " The Suite Life of Zack & Cody", and " Hannah Montana" all meet up at the Tipton in the episode That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana.
* The characters of "
Ally McBeal" hire those of " The Practice", which was a network crossover from FOX to ABC
The Practice" had an episode that continued on " Boston Public", which was also a network crossover from ABC to FOX.
* "The Pretender" and "Profiler" had two-part episode.
* Many daytime
soap operas have had numerous crossovers over the years, particularly the ones that air on ABC. The baby switch storyline on ABC Daytime soap operas " All My Children" and " One Life to Live", in which Paul Cramer ( David Tom) from "One Live to Live" visited Pine Valley (the setting of "All My Children") in order to steal the baby of his ex wife, Babe Chandler ( Alexa Havins) was part of an ongoing storyline with Babe later visiting Llanview (the setting of "One Life to Live") in order to get her baby back from Paul. This storyline came to a climactic court battle which started one day on "AMC" and was continued the same day on "OLTL". This particular storyline had a precedent in the fact that another "All My Children" character, Skye Chandler ( Robin Christopher) had moved from Pine Valley to Llanview in order to find her birth mother. Skye later moved again to Port Charles, the setting for another ABC Daytime Soap Opera, " General Hospital" in order to find her biological father. When All My Children debuted in 1970, ABC had Michael Storm's Dr. Larry Wolek from "One Life to Live" appear on "All My Children" for a few episodes in an attempt for fans of "OLTL" to tune into their new soap opera. When Procter & Gamblecanceled "Another World" in 1999, several characters appeared on " As the World Turns" in an attempt to lure viewers to that soap.
Interactions between related shows
* The respective police departments in "
Law & Order", ', ', and "" have occasionally had crossover episodes; after the cancellation of "Homicide", Richard Belzer's character, John Munch, was transferred over to "SVU". The character also appeared in episodes of " The X-Files", "Arrested Development" and The Wire.
* Characters from both "Angel" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" visit each other in their respective series.
* The characters from "
Crossing Jordan" and "Las Vegas" would make crossover appearances.
* Main characters Teller & Holmes from "
Eerie, Indiana" appear briefly on the TV set of the main characters of spinoff Eerie Indiana: The Other Dimension.
* Characters from

The Cosby Show" appeared on its spinoff "A Different World", sometimes only seen talking on the phone from the set of "The Cosby Show". Rudy, Vanessa, Theo, and Claire from "The Cosby Show" have appeared on "A Different World".
* Some of the girls from "The Facts of Life" have appeared on "
Diff'rent Strokes", mostly Tootie and Natalie of TFOL. Mrs. Garrett had appeared on "Diff'rent Strokes" several years after leaving for "The Facts of Life" when she attended Phillip's and Maggie's wedding. Todd Bridgesalso appeared as Willis from "Diff'rent Strokes" on "The Facts Of Life".
* ' and ' have numerous crossovers -
Xenaoriginally began as a Hercules' character, and the viewer demand caused the series' creation. Both Lucy Lawlessand Renée O'Connor, stars of Xena, were discovered by the producers of Hercules' during the movies, and later cast as Xena and Gabrielle. Some characters appear on both shows quite frequently like Aresor Aphrodite, while others primarily exist on one show but occasionally cross-over like Joxeror Iolaus. Some characters were originally conceived of on one show, but make appearances on the other show, such as Salmoneus, Autolycus, Hope, and Callisto.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles("" version) met the Space Rangers in an episode of " Power Rangers in Space".
Finishing story plot lines
* George and Louise Jefferson of "
The Jeffersons" go to marriage counseling with Will and his fiancée in " The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air".
* George and Louise Jefferson also appeared on an episode of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" looking to buy the Banks' house near the end of the series. Phillip Drummond and Arnold Jackson from "
Diff'rent Strokes" also appeared.
* Frank Black (
Lance Henriksen), the main character from "Millennium", appears in an episode of " The X-Files" ("Millennium") which wraps up the plot line of that canceled series. Instead of dealing with "Millennium"'s unconcluded apocalyptic main story-arc, the episode merely deals with Frank assisting the X-Files team in an investigation and ultimately being reunited with his daughter.
Jose Chung( Charles Nelson Reilly), a single-episode character who played a major role in an episode of "The X-Files", plays a major role in an episode of "Millennium".
Mike Connorsreprised his " Mannix" role on an episode of " Diagnosis Murder", with characters from a 1973 episode with flashbacks from that episode.
* Hillary Banks of "

Greg Cox, in a " Star Trek" media tie-in two-part novel "" connected the character of Jarod from "The Pretender" with the organization that had created Khan Noonien Singhfrom the "Star Trek" episode " Space Seed". The Chrysalis Project was also credited with the creation of the "beast" Vincent, a man with leonine characteristics, from "Beauty and the Beast". "Chrysalis" was also the name of a villainous agency in "The Invisible Man".
Ace Venturameets The Mask("The Mask" and "Ace Ventura" animated series), playing off of the fact that Ace Ventura and the Mask were both played in their respective films by Jim Carrey.
* Almost all the characters on
Adult Swim's programming have appeared on their New Years Specials since the comedy block began in 2001, occasionally crossing over into each other's shows and also in the short "bumps" between the shows and commercial breaks.
* Characters from "

He is then introduced to Jay Sherman. When Jay says that the family can visit him on his show, Bart tells him that won't happen. Jay Sherman would later appear in the episode Hurricane Neddy, being confined to a mental ward where he said nothing except "It stinks!" repeatedly.

Bewitched" appeared on " The Flintstones" via animation.
Johnny Bravooccasionally interacts with older Hanna-Barberacharacters (i.e. Scooby-Doo, The Flintstones, and Huckleberry Hound).

Michel Tremblay's cast of Main Street characters appear in several of his Montreal-based novels.
Nancy Drewand the Hardy Boys(both of which were owned by Stratemeyer Syndicate) first appeared together in 1978 in " The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries" TV show, and three years later, in 1981 they appeared in a novel together for the first time, untitled "Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys Super Slueths!". Since then there have been numerous crossovers between Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys, most notably in the 1988 young adult novelseres, "Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Supermystery" and currently in the new "Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys Super Mystery" series. In 1992, the Hardy Boys teamed up with another Stratemeyer Syndicate character, Tom Swiftfor a short lived two volume crossover series, untitled "Hardy Boys and Tom Swift Ultra Thriller.

Also, Super Smash Bros. was made by the same company that made games featuring Kirby, Hal Laboratories.
* Link, Heihachi, and Spawn appear in Soul Calibur II and come from "other dimensions" searching for Soul Edge. However, only one of the three appears in each version of the game, so they do not meet each other.

* In the Kingdom Hearts series, there are

* In 1996, Capcom created the Marvel vs. Capcom fighting games in which Capcom characters face off against Marvel characters in tag team matches. Capcom's rival, SNK, made their own set of crossover games for their Neo-Geo platforms: The SNK vs. Capcom series However, despite Capcom making the crossover arcade fighting game, , SNK was the first to start that crossover in 1999 with the game on the Neo-Geo Pocket Color handheld gaming system.
