"Album - Generic Flipper" is the debut album by the San Francisco band Flipper. Many fans say it is the band's finest release, and it is definitely their most acclaimed release. It is also referred to as "Album", "Generic Flipper", and just "Generic". It is considered a groundbreaking album, the first album to play with the sludge and heaviness of early Black Sabbath but still be considered a punk album.

As of September 2006, the album is no longer in print, although American Recordings (formerly Def American) still holds the master rights.

The artwork of the album is extremely similar to Gang of Four's "Yellow EP".
