Greville Ewan Janner, Baron Janner of Braunstone (born
July 11 1928 ) is a British politician in the Labour Party.He was born in
Cardiff ,Wales toJewish [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_British_Jews] parents. He was educated at St Paul’s School in London and during the war was evacuated to Canada where he went to Bishop’s College School,Lennoxville ,Quebec . Later, Lord Janner trained as a lawyer, attendingTrinity Hall, Cambridge where he was President of theCambridge Union Society in 1952, andHarvard Law School , which he attended through both theFulbright andSmith-Mundt awards. He became abarrister and was appointed a QC (Queens Counsel) in 1971Fact|date=March 2008. .He represented Leicester North West and then Leicester West in the House of Commons from 1970 until his retirement in 1997Fact|date=March 2008. .
