Kunal Kapoor (Hindi:कुणाल कपूर, born October 18, 1975 in New Delhi, India) is an Indian actor.

Career

Kapoor began acting on the stage; he worked with Motley, a theater group run by Naseeruddin Shah. In 2006, Kunal Kapoor came to prominence with the hit film, "Rang De Basanti". The film was critically and commercially successful, and it was India's official entry to the Oscars and the BAFTA. In 2007, he starred in the movie Hattrick. However, the movie failed to do well at the box office. His next two films, "Laaga Chunari Mein Daag" and "Aaja Nachle", also failed to do well at the box office. His next film was Siddhart Anand's Bachna Ae Haseeno in which he was paired opposite Minissha Lamba. The shooting for Kunal's role in the movie was done in December 2007. The movie released on the 15th of August 2008. In the same year, Kunal Kapoor also appeared in Welcome to Sajjanpur, which released on 19th of September 2008.

Kapoor also voiced the Indian god Rama in "Mahayoddha Rama", directed by Ashok Bandekar. The film is an animated mythological movie based on the Ramayana.
