Division Two, 156thSeaford Town F.C. are a football club based in
Seaford, East Sussex ,England . They were among the founding members of the Sussex County League Division Two in 1952.They won promotion to Division One in the 1963-64 season and were an ever-present in the top division until being relegated in 1971. During that period they achieved their highest ever league position - 4th place in 1965-66.
The club left the County League in 1978 but rejoined as of the founder members of the new Division Three in 1983. Seaford Town won Division Three in 1985-86 and followed up this success with winning the Division Two title in 1988-89 earning promotion back to the top flight. This spell in Division One only lasted two seasons before they were relegated back in 1991 after finishing 17th. Further relegations followed in 1992-93 and in 1996-97 which saw the club leaving the Sussex County League altogether.
After two seasons in the East Sussex League, they regained their County League status and also changed their name to just 'Seaford' as opposed to 'Seaford Town' as they merged with the youth sides 'Seaford Seagulls' which had teams ranging from under 7s all the way through to under 16s. This saw Seaford change from their traditional all red strip, to a red shirt with blue sleeves and blue shorts.
Seaford were promoted to Division Two in 2000-01 where they have been ever since, with 6th being their best finish achieved in 2004-05 and 2006-07 (adopting the "Town" suffix once more in 2005.
For the 2007-08 season, they are still members of the Sussex County League Division Two. Their manager is Duncan Kneller (whose son Adam plays for the team) and recently the club installed floodlights at their ground (which is known as 'The Crouch') for the 2007-08 season and won their first game under the floodlights with a 3-2 win against Lancing in the league.
The club have only competed in the
FA Vase on one occasion - a Preliminary Round defeat at the hands of Cowes in 1975-76, but after the erection of the floodlights, should become eligible for the national competition again in 2008-09.----

#14Connor StrongSeaford Town FC Under 16's is part of the youth system which stems down from the first team. Seaford FC U16's have had ups and downs in the last 2 seasons. Seaford started in Division 2 in 2006/07 season but many new faces stirred up the side. Loses were more common than wins and therefore led to Seaford U16's getting relegated. Seaford U16's had their awards night and many trophies were handed out. Including Player of The Year Award for new goalkeeper Lewis Broad who showed key saves during his debut season. Most improved player was awarded to club captain Josh Allen who had done a decent job leading from the last line of defence.
The 2007/08 season started early with pre-season training starting quite soon. During this season, we had a tournament in memory of Dave Vine who was sadly killed in Iraq, which we won respectfully, beating local rivals Lewes Bridgview after goalkeeper Lewis Broad saved all of Lewes' penalties. That gave us a confident and positive start. After 15 games Seaford had one 5, Drew 2 and lost 8 which is a massive improvement and left us mid table at the climax of the season. The traditional award ceremony saw Matt Broad and Charlie Patterson collecting Managers Player of The Year Awards and Oli Polling with Most Improved and Jake Priaulx with Players Player Award.
Seaford are now currently continuing with training sessions in preparation for the 2008/09 season.
