John Jorah Koster finished a bachelor of arts in New York and was hired by Jeffrey L. Kimball as a camera apprentice (uncredited) on the MGM film "Windtalkers." Today he resides in the San Diego area.

John Jorah Koster and Tamela Turtle received Golden Drovers for best thriller and best original song at the Trail Dance Film Festival in Duncan, Oklahoma January 2007 for the film titled Yonderville.
