Broughton High School is in north Edinburgh, Scotland. It is a local authority school, noted for its music department: the City of Edinburgh Music School. It is currently next to Inverleith Park but was formerly in Broughton proper, where poet Hugh MacDiarmid taught.

Mission statement

The school's motto "Fortier et Recte" is Latin for 'to have the strength to do the right thing'get payed to much for doing to little, so they should make trying harder their mission.
