Stan Cullimore

Stan Cullimore (born Ian Peter Cullimore, 6 April 1962, in Cambridge, England) played guitar, between 1983 and 1988, for the Hull based indie rock band called The Housemartins.

Early life

He studied [http://www.hull.ac.uk/maths Maths] at the University of Hull, graduating in 1984. He answered a local newspaper advert in 1983 placed by Paul Heaton that said "Trombonist seeks street musicians around the city".

After the Housemartins

After leaving the band, he ran a whole food shop for about five years.

Since then he has gone on to become an author of children's books and television scripts. He also composes music for children's television.

Personal life

He married Amelia in May 1988 in Hull, and has two daughters and two sons (including a son born March 1989).
