World No. 1 (tennis)

The denomination of World No. 1 player in professional tennis is are determined via computer and are given to:
* the man who leads the ATP Tour ranking - see List of ATP number 1 ranked players
* the woman who leads the WTA Tour ranking - see List of WTA number 1 ranked players

Previously, tennis rankings were determined by the opinions of prominent tennis journalists - for those of male players see World number one male tennis player rankings.
