Yasmine Mahmoudieh

Yasmine Mahmoudieh is an architect and interior designer.

Born in Germany, but of Iranian descent, Yasmine studied Art History in Florence, Architecture in the École d'Interieur in Geneva and Interior Design at the College of Nôtre Dame in Belmont -- as well as Architecture and Interior Design at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she got her diploma. In 1986, she founded her first studio in Los Angeles.

In 1992, she opened studios in Hamburg and Berlin, Germany, and later in Barcelona and London. Her portfolio of work includes complete interior design concepts for hotels, restaurants, shopping centres, office complexes and multiuse projects. She also designs furniture and exhibitions.

Mahmoudieh Design

Her company Mahmoudieh Concepts ( [http://www.mahmoudieh.de] ) works on complete conceptions for more functional designs in the commercial real estate sector. She has won numerous awards for interior design projects at the Coconut Grove Plaza, Miami, office buildings for Tishman Speyer, the Wyndham Hotels chain and Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.

Trivia

She is also the second-cousin of Iranian screenwriter David Mahmoudieh.
