"All Fall Down" is a 1962 film directed by John Frankenheimer. The melodrama produced by John Houseman, was adapted by playwright William Inge from a 1960 novel by James Leo Herlihy and starred Eva Marie Saint and Warren Beatty. Upon its release, the film was a minor box office hit. Together with her performance in Frankenheimer's "The Manchurian Candidate", Angela Lansbury won the year's National Board of Review Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Plot

The film follows the wealthy Willart family. Berry-Berry Willart (Warren Beatty) is idolized by younger brother Clinton (Brandon De Wilde), despite Berry's hedonistic lifestyle and irresponsible ways. After their parents, Ralph and Annabel Willart (Karl Malden and Angela Lansbury) take in a young Echo O'Brien (Eva Marie Saint), Berry is drawn to her. Berry deserts Echo when she becomes pregnant, driving the girl to suicide and destroying Clinton's view of his brother.
