Cove Football Club is a semi-professional football club based in Cove near Farnborough in Hampshire, England. The first team play in the Combined Counties Football League Premier Division, which is a league below the Isthmian League and four promotions off the Conference National.

History

In the 2000–01 season, they reached the Fifth Round of the FA Vase.

They are currently members of the Combined Counties League Premier Division. They also compete in the FA Cup, FA Vase and Hampshire Senior Cup. In the 2007–08 season they finished 4th despite losing their assistant manager and the majority of the squad to Chertsey Town.

After the exodus of these players, Cove re-grouped again under the manager Koo Dumbaya, and set upon recruiting more local based players for the 2008–09 season. Ex Ash United player David Johnston joined the club and was made club captain. Cove led the top of the CCL table in October but fell away after injuries to key players and loss of form. They ended up a creditable 6th place and also won the Southern Combination Cup Final 4–0 against Chessington and Hook United with Alex Jeffers grabbing a hat trick.

On April 23rd 2010, Cove FC beat Bedfont 2–0 after extra time in the EL Records Combined Counties League Cup in front of more than 300 spectators. Cove ran out worthy winners with goals from man of the match David Johnston, a stunning strike from 30 yards, and an excellent second from Alex Jeffers. Cove reached new heights by dumping out a full strength Farnborough FC 1st team from the Aldershot Senior Cup semi final, before losing to eventual champions Fleet Town fc in the final.

In the 2008–09 season they also have a reserve side which competes in the Suburban Football league which is open to clubs from the Football Conference, Isthmian League, Southern Leagues and Combined Counties Football League.

Cove also have a thriving youth policy from Under 7s to under 18s, which acts as a platform for the senior under 18 side that competes at a high standard in the Southern Youth League to produce players for the senior set-up.
