"To The Extreme" is the mainstream debut album by American rapper Vanilla Ice, released on August 28, 1990 (see 1990 in music). It was the most successful rap album by a white artist since The Beastie Boys' "Licensed to Ill" in 1987.The album topped the Billboard 200 charts for 16 consecutive weeks, and has been certified 7x Platinum for seven million copies sold in the US, making it the 3rd highest selling hip hop album by a white rapper (only behind Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show).
