Amsdorfians

Amsdorfians

The Amsdorfians were a sect of protestants, in the 16th century, who took their name from Nicolaus von Amsdorf, their leader. They maintained that good works were not only unprofitable, but were obstacles to salvation. The Amsdorfians were rigid confessionists.
