Rupununi River

The Rupununi River is a river in southern Guyana, originating in the Kanuku Mountains.Fact|date=May 2008 The Rupununi River drains into the Essequibo River but is also part of the Amazon River watershed.Fact|date=May 2008 During the rainy season it is connected to the Takutu River by the flooded Pirara Creek, draining the vast swamps of the Parima or Amaku Lake.Fact|date=May 2008
