"State of Emergency 2" is the sequel to "State of Emergency". The game was released in February 2006, four years after the first game came out. The game is currently available on PlayStation 2 and is to be released in 2007 on the PlayStation Portable, but in a press release the company did say it will shortly follow on other consoles. It takes place ten years after the first game. It features more game modes and an enhanced SOE engine.

This game was widely panned by critics, considering it to be a major disappointment.

Note: The first "State of Emergency" game was developed by VIS Entertainment for Rockstar Games, but the series was continued by SouthPeak Interactive.
