The Local Community Party is a minor
political partyin England, based in Tameside. Founded in 2003, the party is led by Jack Crossfield, who stood in the 2005 UK general electionin Ashton under Lyne and received 570 votes.
The party calls for the withdrawal of
British troopsfrom Iraq, and for the troops instead to defend the UK from terrorismand illegal immigrants. They also call for free transportfor the elderly and the abolition of standing charges for essential services.
