Homestead High School is a comprehensive secondary school located in Mequon, Wisconsin, a northern suburb of Milwaukee. The four-year public high school is a part of the Mequon-Thiensville School District, and as such serves a convert|48|sqmi|km2|sing=on area including the city of Mequon and the village of Thiensville. Homestead High School received accreditation from the North Central Association Commission on Schools. Homestead High School was also nationally recognized in 2004 as a No Child Left Behind Blue-Ribbon School, considered the highest honor a school can receive from the U.S. Department of Education. It became one of only thirty-four public high schools in the United States to receive this honor.

Upper-middle-income business executives and professional residents account for the majority of the local population.Fact|date=July 2008 Enrollment of the comprehensive high school is 1,604. The Homestead Highlanders compete in the North Shore Conference within the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association

The Boys Swimming and Diving team won four consecutive state championships from 1997 to 2001.

In 1999, the Varsity Football team won the State Championship.

In 2006, the Highlanders Boys Varsity golf won the WIAA State Championship finishing with the 2nd best score in state history. The team was led by Tyler Becker, Mike Ratkovitch, Mike Sweet, Morgan Montgomery and Andy Hansen who finished 8 under par individually setting a new state record.

In 2006, the Highlanders Varsity Football team won the Wisconsin State Championship defeating Arrowhead High School. They finished the season ranked # 27 in the nation by

In 2007, the Highlanders Varsity Football team returned to the State football Championship but were defeated by Arrowhead High School.

In 2007, the Highlanders Girls Varsity Softball team advanced to the State Championship.

In 2008, the doubles team of seniors Tony LoCoCo and Brant Vogt won the Individual Doubles State Tennis Championship.
