Mark Simone

Mark Simone is an American radio personality. Currently heard on WABC in New York, he also fills-in for ABC Radio hosts such as Don Imus, Mark Levin, and Sean Hannity.

Simone occasionally appears on CNN, MSNBC and PBS.

He and New York Post columnist Linda Stasi co-host the weekly feature What a Week on NY1.

Radio career

1977–1979 - WPIX-FM 102 [New York] "The Mark Simone Show"

1980–1982 - WMCA 570 [New York] Simone did a daily comedy talk show from 8:00-10:00pm weekdays and 2:00-4:00pm on Saturdays.

1982–1992 - WNEW-AM Simone hosted the afternoon show from 3-7pm. The program was a mix of celebrity interviews and music. WNEW ended after 58 years on December 11, 1992. Simone was its final host.

1986–1988 - Simone co-hosted a three-hour daily comedy show with Steve Allen on the NBC Radio network.^[1] The team did their last live show at WNEW on March 18, 1988.

1990s - Simone co-hosted a two-hour nightly talk and interview show with Tom Snyder on the CBS Radio Network.

1999–present - WABC Simone hosts a Saturday morning talk show 7:00-10:00am and the Saturday Night Show entertainment show from 6:00-9:00pm which combines music, celebrity interviews and features.

Miscellaneous

Simone sits on the Board of Directors of the Police Athletic League of New York City, a nonprofit youth development agency that helps inner-city children and teenagers.^[2]
