Tom Colclough

Tom Colclough has been a fixture in the Vancouver jazz, pop and blues scene since the 1980s.

A two-time West Coast Music Award winner for his distinctive saxophone playing, Tom has accompanied many famous musicians and singers, including Kenny Loggins, Celine Dion, David Foster, Julio Iglesias, Shania Twain, Aerosmith, Roch Voisine, and Jim Byrnes.

Tom Colclough received rave reviews across North America for his Artie Shaw-like performances as the featured clarinetist in the 1999 touring musical, Forever Swing [cite web|url = http://www.shared-visions.com/Rocket/swinghome.htm |title = Forever Swing - Presented by Rocket Norton |accessdate = 2008-06-08] . One of those reviews can be seen on Montreal.com [cite web|url = http://www.montreal.com/cgi/review.cgi?id=67 |title = Forever Swing |first=John|last=Gouws|accessdate = 2008-06-08] . The official Forever Swing CD includes a long clarinet solo by Tom on Sing Sing Sing. A fan on the Clarinet BBoard, [cite web|url = http://test.woodwind.org/clarinet/BBoard/read.html?f=1&i=220772&t=220772 |title = The Clarinet BBoard |accessdate = 2008-06-08] favourably compares Tom's performance on that song with the original by Benny Goodman.

In 2004, Tom released a smooth jazz album of saxophone and clarinet compositions, "Heading Home", under his own label.
