Jamar Mondell Fletcher (born August 28, 1979 in city-state|St. Louis|Missouri) is an American football cornerback for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins 26th overall in the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at Wisconsin.

Fletcher has also played or the San Diego Chargers, Detroit Lions and Houston Texans.

Early years

He played high school football at Hazelwood East.

College career

At Wisconsin, Fletcher won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's best defensive back. He was also a key member of the Badgers' back-to-back Rose Bowl Champion teams.

Professional career

Miami Dolphins

e was originally a first round pick in the 2001 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins out of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

In 2004, Fletcher was traded to the San Diego Chargers.

Detroit Lions

It was announced that Fletcher signed a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions on May 1, 2006.

Houston Texans

In 2007 Fletcher signed with the Houston Texans.

Cincinnati Bengals

Fletcher signed with the Cincinnati Bengals on September 23, 2008.
