Guggenheim Hermitage Museum

The Guggenheim Hermitage Museum is a museum in The Venetian, one of the world's largest hotels in Paradise, Nevada, located on the Strip in Las Vegas, USA. It was designed by Rem Koolhaas in 1980 [ [http://www.guggenheimlasvegas.org/building_herm.html Guggenheim Hermitage Museum — The Building] ] , opened in October 2001, and has added three more collections and exhibits since then. It was the result of a collaboration agreement between the State Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg, Russia, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation.

The museum finished its seven-year tenure at The Venetian on May 11, 2008. It is now permanently closed.A new Guggenheim Hermitage Museum is to be built in Vilnius, Lituania. Its architect is Zaha Hadid.
