NDE is an acronym with several meanings:

  • Near-death experience, the perception reported by a person who nearly died or who was clinically dead and revived
    • See also near miss (safety) for a situation where death or other harmful event is averted
  • Nondestructive Examination (also known as "non-destructive testing" or "NDT"), testing that does not destroy the test object
  • Nevada Desert Experience, a movement and an organization dedicated to deep ecology, appreciating the desert, and stopping the spread of nuclearism
  • Non-Destructive Entry, a movement in the UK towards using skill and knowledge rather than a drill or crowbar to gain entry, strongly promoted by the Institute of Certified Locksmiths.
  • No Diplomatic Exchanges - The US State Department uses this acronym to indicate countries with which the US does not engage in diplomacy. Those stated are: Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Taiwan. It can be assumed that other secessionist movements could have this acronym.
