Andrew Clements

Andrew Clements (born May 7, 1949) is an American author of books for children. Clements grew up in New Jersey and Illinois, United States. He worked as a teacher for seven years after college. He started his literary career by writing the text for picture books, and went on to write children's novels. His first novel was "Frindle", which still remains one of his best-known works. Most of his novels' covers depict a person, usually a child, holding something up to the reader. Clements currently lives in Westborough, Massachusetts, with his wife Rebecca and their four children.
