Anthony Réveillère (born November 10, 1979 in Doué-la-Fontaine) is a football player from France. A pure product of the Stade Rennais youth academy with which he débuted professionally, he plays as an attacking right-back with Olympique Lyonnais and France national team.

He is a key player for current club Lyon however the man he keeps out of the Lyon team, Francois Clerc is preferred for France.

Career

Réveillère made his Ligue 1 debut on February 3, 1998 playing for Rennes. After spending 6 years with Rennes, he made a winter move to the Spanish side Valencia CF. After half a season there, Réveillère made the move back to his birth country signing with then first-time champions Olympique Lyonnais. Since his signing, Lyon have won 5 straight Ligue 1 titles.

To those not following the Olympique Lyonnais, Réveillère's claim to European fame, rather than many of his great performances in the Champions' League including a fantastic assist to Sylvain Wiltord in his club's 3-0 defeat of the Real Madrid in 2005, is his duel with A.S. Roma's Amantino Mancini, who performed 6 step-overs before blasting past the bewildered defender to double Roma's advantage during the UEFA Champions League last 16 round against the French Champions. The eventual 2-0 victory for Roma was Lyon's first defeat at home in the Champions League for 5 years.

National team

He has five caps with the France national team. His first selection was on October 11, 2003 for a game against Israel.
