David Range

David Range

David Range (67°54′S 62°30′E / 67.9°S 62.5°E / -67.9; 62.5) is a mountain range 8 km (5 mi) west of Masson Range, which it parallels, in the Framnes Mountains of Antarctica. It extends 26 km (16 mi) in a NNE-SSW direction, with peaks rising to 1,500 metres.

Discovered on 14 February 1931 by the British Australian New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (BANZARE) under Mawson, who named it for Professor Sir T.W. Edgeworth David.
