Tehran TV (شبكه’ تهران in Persian), is an IRIB
television channel , shown only in the province of Tehran.The channel is one of the newer television channels in
Iran and was established in1998 . Even though it is a provincial channel, it is extremely popular and many of its programs have become nationally syndicated. The channel's 24 hour a day broadcast has children's programming, afternoon talk-shows, comedies, mini-series and movies.The channel is also referred to as "Channel 5" by the citizens of Tehran, as it was the fifth television channel available in Tehran.
