Blackwater is a village on the Isle of Wight. It is located three kilometres south of Newport, close to the geographic centre of the island.

British pop artist Robbie Williams once visited Blackwater for three nights to get away from the media. Carisbrooke Castle is close to Blackwater, while the Isle of Wight County Cricket Ground is just to the north of the village.

Newport Junction Railway opened a railway station at Blackwater. The Blackwater station first appeared on railway timetables in June, 1876. The Blackwater railway station operated until June 6, 1956. The railway line is now part of National Cycle Route 23.

Current public transport is provided by Southern Vectis bus routes 2 and 3, serving Newport, Ryde, Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor.cite web | year = 2008 | url = http://www.islandbuses.info/r2.shtml | title = Southern Vectis - bus route 2 | publisher = www.islandbuses.info | accessdate = 2008-05-04] cite web | year = 2008 | url = http://www.islandbuses.info/r3.shtml | title = Southern Vectis - bus route 3 | publisher = www.islandbuses.info | accessdate = 2008-05-04] Wightbus also run route 33 between Newport and Ryde, serving the village.cite web | year = 2008 | url = http://www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk/se/XSLT_TTB_REQUEST?language=en&command=direct&net=set&line=08033&sup=B&project=y08&contentFilter=TIMINGPOINTS&outputFormat=0&itdLPxx_displayHeader=false | title = Traveline - Wightbus route 33 | publisher = www.traveline.org.uk | accessdate = 2008-05-04]
