"Te slăvim Românie" ("We glorify thee, Romania") was the national anthem of Romania during the early stages of the Communist regime (between 1953 and 1977). The lyrics were written by Eugen Frunză and Dan Deşliu, the music by Matei Socor. It emphasises Romania's friendship with the Soviet Union and Leninist ideology.
