Marca is a Spanish daily sports newspaper that deals mostly with football-related topics from a rather yellow perspective. Since 1984, Marca belongs to Recoletos group. It has a readership of over 2,300,000, the highest in Spain for a daily newspaper and more than half of sports readership. Criticism

Marca's first cover featured a picture of Real Madrid's famous goalkeeper, Ricardo Zamora, with his right arm raised in the Fascist salute, and the heading “Right arm raised to the sportsmen of Spain”.
