Trade item

The term trade item refers to any item (product or service) upon which there is a need to retrieve pre-defined information and that may be priced or ordered or invoiced at any point in any supply chain.It is a term used primarily by people in supply chain management and logistic engineering.

In colloquial usage, it refers to any item that is the subject of trade.
