The Bellonid Dynasty (in Catalan Bel·lònides [ [http://www.enciclopedia.cat/cgi-bin/CercaGEC3.exe?APP=CERCAPAR&PAG=0001&PAR=bel.lonida Grup Enciclopèdia Catalana SAU (Spain)] "Designation of the word "Bel.lònidas"] and in Spanish Bellónidas) was a Catalan dynasty, the descendants of the Goth Belló who ruled in Carcassonne, Urgel, Cerdanya, Conflent, Barcelona, and numerous other Catalan and Septimanian counties and marches in the ninth century and whose most famous grandson was Wilfred the Hairy, who founded the ruling dynasty of Barcelona [Martin Aurell, " [http://www.jstor.org/pss/2887370 "Les noces du comte: Mariage et pouvoir en Catalogne (785-1213)"] " Vol. 73, No. 4 (Oct., 1998), pp. 1102-1104 Published by: Medieval Academy of America.] . which lasted until 1410 and the death of Martin I of Aragón.
