Mark Patton (born September 22, 1959) is a former American actor who starred in 3 films in the 1980s.^[1]

Movie career

He is perhaps best known for his role in the 1985 horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge as Jesse Walsh, a teen whose body becomes possessed by Freddy Krueger.^[2] His first film role was in the 1982 movie Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean. His two television guest appearances were on the series Hotel and 21 Jump Street. He also starred in a television pilot with Chuck Connors entitled Kelsey's Son, which was never picked up. Patton stars also in the A Nightmare on Elm Street documentary Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy, under the direction from Dan Farrands.^[3][4] He was a guest at the Monster Mania 14 horror convention on 12 March 2010.^[5] Mark also appeared in General Hospital as Greg Collier, Misplaced with John Cameron Mitchell (appearing in the credits as Mark E Patton), Anna to the Infinite Power with Dina Merrill and Martha Byrne. Have You Tried Talking to Patty (CBS) with Heather Langenkamp (NOES). Mark produced a series The Monday Nite Stop at the Atlantic Theater in New York. Mark appeared at Spooky Empire in Orlando, Florida in 2010; Days of the Dead in Indiana, Horror Weekend, Bottop, Germany. Mark has sign a contact to begin a new Film, Night to be filmed in Berlin, Germany. Mark has a very active touring and web life, he is the host of a new web talk show Stalk Talk with Mark Patton. While touring the horror conventions he performs with The Scream Queens, a group which includes Heather Langenkamp from Nightmare on Elm Street, in the group Mark is hail as Americas first Male Scream Queen.

Personal life

Mark Patton was born 09 22 1958, second child of Roy and Judy Patton in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended the North Kansas City High School where he was tudored by Theater Teacher Mildred Fulton who he credits with his success as an actor.

Since his last acting role, Patton has become a successful interior designer and painter and currently resides in Mexico. In a recent interview, he has expressed interest in acting once more, but only if offered a role that interests him enough to make him return to the screen. In the same interview he stated that he would like to appear in a sequel to the new A Nightmare on Elm Street movie, possibly in an homage to his character Jesse Walsh in the original sequel. Mark owns a gallery in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The Gallery is named Lalo Morales. Mark has announced that he is gay and very happily so. He is involved with the Trevor Project and Peace in Jalisco.
