The Ocean Group

The Ocean Group is a production company located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada that specializes in localizing foreign animation (most often anime) into English, including doing translation, dubbing and subtitling. As of 2005 the group has also started providing DVD authoring services to some of their clients. They own and operate Ocean Productions Inc., formerly known as Ocean Studios.

Notable works

Early anime projects of the Ocean Group includes the first two seasons and three movies of "Dragon Ball Z". The "Dragon Ball" franchise was later re-dubbed entirely by Funimation Entertainment; however, the Ocean Group later made an international dub of "DBZ" for the United Kingdom.

Other anime dubs of theirs include most of the installments in the "Gundam" metaseries, including "Mobile Suit Gundam", "Zeta Gundam", "Char's Counterattack", "Gundam Wing", ', "Gundam SEED", "Gundam SEED Destiny", and the upcoming dub of "Gundam 00". They have also worked on "InuYasha", "Ranma ½", "Hamtaro", "Cardcaptor Sakura", "Monster Rancher", "Infinite Ryvius", "Jin-Roh", "Silent Mobius", "The Vision of Escaflowne", ', "The SoulTaker", ".hack//Roots", "Death Note", "Black Lagoon", "MegaMan NT Warrior", and "Maison Ikkoku".

The Ocean Group also recently produced the first english adaptation of Powerpuff Girls Z, which as of May 2008 is only shown on Cartoon Network Philippines.

Outside of anime, they have recorded the voices for American animated series like "Exosquad", ', and '.
