Patrick Paul Zachry (born April 24, 1952 in Richmond, Texas) is a former Major League baseball pitcher who had a 10-year career from 1976 to 1985. He played for the Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies of the National League.

In by|1976, he tied for the National League Rookie of the Year award with Butch Metzger. He had a 14-7 record, an Earned run average (ERA) of 2.74, 143 strikeouts, and 204 innings pitched.cite web|url=http://www.baseball-reference.com/z/zachrpa01.shtml|title=Pat Zachry Statistics|publisher=Baseball-Reference.com|accessdate=2008-04-15] Zachry pitched quite well in the 1976 NLCS, starting and winning game two against the Philadelphia Phillies. In the 1976 World Series, he started and won game three at Yankee Stadium, helping the Reds sweep the New York Yankees to win their second consecutive world championship.

Following a slow start in 1977, Zachry was traded to the New York Mets in exchange for Tom Seaver. Also joining Zachry in the deal were Doug Flynn, and then-minor leaguers Steve Henderson and Dan Norman. Zachry became a regular starter for the Mets over the rest of the season, winning seven games and lost just six for the last-place team.
National League manager Tommy Lasorda selected Zachry as the sole Mets representative on the All-Star team in by|1978, but he did not play. He won ten games for the Mets by early July, but sustained an injury. Injuries also derailed his by|1979 season. When he returned to full strength, the Mets were still a last-place team, and Zachry led the league in losses with 14 in the strike-shortened by|1981 season. Following a by|1982 season that saw him lose his place in the starting rotation, the Mets traded Zachry to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Now a reliever, Zachry pitched two years for the Dodgers and pitched two games in the 1983 National League Championship Series, which the Dodgers lost to the Philadelphia Phillies. Zachry's career ended after ten games with the Phillies in by|1985.

He had a record of 69-67 in 293 games in his 10 year career. He had an ERA of 3.52 in 1177 and 1/3 innings pitched in his career.

He later played in the Senior Professional Baseball Association in 1989 and was profiled in a book by Peter Golenbock about the league.
